Easiest No-Bake Oreo Mud Pie Recipe

Ingredients

Crust:

  • Approximately 10-12 Oreo cookies (crushed) or however many you decide to create the thickness you prefer to coat the bottom of your pan

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Filling:

  • 1 3.9 oz box of instant chocolate Jell-O Pudding

  • 1 4.2 oz box instant Oreo Jell-O Pudding & Pie Filling

  • 3 ¼ cups cold milk

  • 10 – 12 Oreo cookies (optional)

Topping:

  • 1 cup cold milk

  • 1 4.2 oz box instant Oreo Jell-O Pudding & Pie Filling

  • 1 8 oz tub Cool Whip, thawed

  • Additional crushed Oreos for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a ziplock bag and crushing with a rolling pin.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix the crushed Oreos with melted butter until well combined.

  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9x13 inch pan (or whatever size you prefer or have on hand).

  4. Place the crust in the refrigerator to set while you prepare the filling.

Step 2: Make the Filling

  1. Combine 2 cups of cold milk with the chocolate pudding powder and mix with mixer for 2 minutes.

  2. Spread the chocolate pudding evenly over the chilled Oreo crust.

  3. Combine the remaining 1 ¼ cups of milk with one box of the Oreo instant pudding & pie filling powder and mix with mixer for 2 minutes.

  4. Spread the Oreo pie filling over the layer of chocolate pudding.

  5. (optional) put a single layer of Oreo cookies on top for added yumminess. I like to twist them into halves and make a thinner layer.

Step 3: Add the Topping

  1. Combine 1 cup of milk with one box of the Oreo instant pudding & pie filling powder and mix with mixer for 2 minutes.

  2. Using a spatula fold in one tub of thawed Cool Whip into the mixed filling.

  3. Spread the topping over the top of last layer.

  4. Garnish with additional crushed Oreos on top. Usually if I put the layer of oreos between the filling and the topping I just rub two Oreos together to put a dusting on top.

Step 4: Chill and Serve

  1. Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours, or until set.

  2. Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy every decadent bite!

Tips and Variations

  • Like I stated in the recipe you can decide to put Oreos in the middle of the mud pie. I like to do this because I usually make this recipe the night before and the Oreos become soft and so delicious by the next day.

  • It all depends on how much of an Oreo lover you are. You can adjust the recipe to include as many Oreos as you prefer. I usually use about half of a box of Oreos.

  • You do not have to include melted butter in the crust, it just depends on personal preference. I usually just crush the cookies on the bottom of a foil pan (because one less pan to clean is a blessing) then use a brush to brush the melted butter on top to hold it together.

  • For you peanut butter lovers you could crumble some Reese’s on top to add some flavor.

Final Thoughts

This No-Bake Oreo Mud Pie is an easy, delightful treat that’s sure to please any crowd. It’s perfect for those moments when you want a rich, chocolaty dessert without the hassle of baking. As an added bonus, it does not take long to prepare either (only about a half hour).
